Hu vs. Wen?
Since the Lehman Brothers bankrupted on September 15, 2008, it seems that Chinese leaders have expressed different opinions about the recovery of the Chinese economy. According to the right-wing newspaper Sankei News in Japan, Wen Jiabao began to clash with Hu Jintao regarding economic stimulus plan. For instance, Primer Wen Jiabao went to Guangdong Province twice for the economic inspection. But, Wang Yang, Secretary of Guangdong Province, disagreed with Wen’s opinions because Wang wanted Guangdong to become the high-tech and/or bio-technology center in China, not to save middle and small size textile, shoe and/or toy industries. Since Wang came from Chinese Youth League where Hu Jintao originated, Wang had strong backup from Hu against Wen Jiabao. Furthermore, Hu launched the land reform in October 2008, but Wen has not expressed support for the idea because Wen is primary worried about losing lands for farmers. Currently, about 50,000,000 peasants have lost their land, increasing unrest in the Chinese society by protesting farmers.
