On 23 May 2009, the United States was going to file a case to WTO against China. According to Ron Kirk, U.S. Trade Representative, who made the announcement, China has continued to restrict exports of rare metals, including zinc, tin, tungsten, antimony, bauxite, coke, fluorspar, indium, magnesium carbonate, molybdenum, rare earths, silicon, talc, and yellow phosphorous. China is one of countries to produce rare metals, which will be indispensable to for many products, such as cell phone, aircraft, and even space. Will China and the US begin to fight economic war similar to that fought with Japan in the 1980s?
