Learning History-VI
On 10 October 2009, Turkey and Armenia normalized relations and sought reconciliation after nearly a century of bitterness over their bloody history. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton worked so hard behind the scene for this day. Both Turkey and Armenia have been in dispute since the World War I massacres of Armenians under Ottoman rule. As a result, Turkey has not been able to join into EU for years. During this financial tsunami, both countries finally shocked their hands tying their economic relations. Is there anything that the Chinese and Japanese can learn from this lesson?
