Hatoyama Yukio repeatedly tied to balance his campaign financial books. It has been revealed that more than 100 million Japanese yen was falsely declared out of revenues from selling tickets for fundraising parties between 2004 and 2008. At least 300 million yen was falsely declared in Hatoyama’s financial statements. Finally, 29 November 2009, the Japanese newspapers reported, according to Hatoyama’s former secretary who is under investigation by the Tokyo Public Prosecutors Office, that his mother donated 900 million Japanese yen to Hatoyama’s account (Daily Yomiuri). Many people wish to have Hatoyama’s mother who can provide 900 million Japanese yen for his/her elections.
